The Sessa Family is growing!

A few weeks ago I photographed the adorable Sessa Family. Steve, Sherrie, Sophie and their amazing pooch Cody.  This family is getting ready for a new addition in March...a baby brother is on the way for Ms. Sophie!

Sophie is 2 years old and so much fun.  I had a ball playing with her. She loves nature. She was finding me all sorts of beautiful leaves, squirrels and acorns.  One thing Sophie did not love is the bow in her hair.  Sherrie had the cutest coordinated and accessorized outfits, but Sophie had a mind of her own. I struggle with the same fashion issues with my own daughter, so this is the beginning of our lifelong power struggle I suppose.

Cody is the most recent addition to the family...and I have to admit I was extremely impressed that he was able to cruise around the park without a leash. He was so well behaved, a far cry from my dog Murphy...

Little Cody!

Steve and Sherrie are a beautiful couple who will be soon welcoming a baby boy. I am sure their entire family is so excited for Sophie to become a big sister. Now the toughest part...what do they name him?
Steve and Sherrie thank you so much for trusting me with your pictures. I enjoyed hanging out with you guys, and I hope to see you again soon.

Audrey Anne

Like I mentioned in a previous post, Audrey's mommy Laurel and I were pregnant at the same time...we would sneak out for a few minutes to grab a cherry slush from Sonic across the street, we took water aerobics together, and even saw the same fabulous chiropractor for our back aches due to Mr. Bennett and Ms. Audrey.  I was glad to have a pregnancy buddy like Laurel because no matter what we could make each other laugh at how ridiculously large we felt, and she was always down for grabbing a cherry slush :).

I was the first to deliver, Bennett Michael arrived on December 17th (he was kicked out) weighing 8 lbs 11oz and Audrey arrived on February 3rd (also kicked out) weighing 8 lbs 8 ozs....guess those cherry slushes helped.  All was well until a few days after Audrey's delivery Laurel was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. We were very close to losing Laurel in those short days after the delivery. It must have been very sobering to be asked in the hospital if you had a will and if not you better get one.

It has been a LONG recovery for both Laurel and her husband Graham.  Laurel has shown such strength and courage during this very challenging year, and I know a lot is due to a very loving family and group of friends.

Laurel just completed Metro Atlanta Heart Walk 5K, and she was able to do the survivor lap!  This is a big accomplishment since cardiologist told her in the beginning she could never run again. I am very proud of my friend Laurel. She has taught me to cherish what you have because you never know when it will be taken away, and to keep laughing because sometimes that is all you can do :).

Back to Ms. Audrey she is sitting now, attempting to crawl, working on talking (her mom does have the gift of gab) and she is a proficient clapper. She loves hanging with her mommy and daddy.  She can light up a room with that sweet smile and laugh.

Graham and Laurel are very blessed to have such an angel in their lives. I know they love that sweet little girl more than anything, so I was honored to take her pictures. Aud...can't wait for next time.

Here is a little video for Audrey:
