The Sessa Family is growing!

A few weeks ago I photographed the adorable Sessa Family. Steve, Sherrie, Sophie and their amazing pooch Cody.  This family is getting ready for a new addition in March...a baby brother is on the way for Ms. Sophie!

Sophie is 2 years old and so much fun.  I had a ball playing with her. She loves nature. She was finding me all sorts of beautiful leaves, squirrels and acorns.  One thing Sophie did not love is the bow in her hair.  Sherrie had the cutest coordinated and accessorized outfits, but Sophie had a mind of her own. I struggle with the same fashion issues with my own daughter, so this is the beginning of our lifelong power struggle I suppose.

Cody is the most recent addition to the family...and I have to admit I was extremely impressed that he was able to cruise around the park without a leash. He was so well behaved, a far cry from my dog Murphy...

Little Cody!

Steve and Sherrie are a beautiful couple who will be soon welcoming a baby boy. I am sure their entire family is so excited for Sophie to become a big sister. Now the toughest part...what do they name him?
Steve and Sherrie thank you so much for trusting me with your pictures. I enjoyed hanging out with you guys, and I hope to see you again soon.

Audrey Anne

Like I mentioned in a previous post, Audrey's mommy Laurel and I were pregnant at the same time...we would sneak out for a few minutes to grab a cherry slush from Sonic across the street, we took water aerobics together, and even saw the same fabulous chiropractor for our back aches due to Mr. Bennett and Ms. Audrey.  I was glad to have a pregnancy buddy like Laurel because no matter what we could make each other laugh at how ridiculously large we felt, and she was always down for grabbing a cherry slush :).

I was the first to deliver, Bennett Michael arrived on December 17th (he was kicked out) weighing 8 lbs 11oz and Audrey arrived on February 3rd (also kicked out) weighing 8 lbs 8 ozs....guess those cherry slushes helped.  All was well until a few days after Audrey's delivery Laurel was diagnosed with congestive heart failure. We were very close to losing Laurel in those short days after the delivery. It must have been very sobering to be asked in the hospital if you had a will and if not you better get one.

It has been a LONG recovery for both Laurel and her husband Graham.  Laurel has shown such strength and courage during this very challenging year, and I know a lot is due to a very loving family and group of friends.

Laurel just completed Metro Atlanta Heart Walk 5K, and she was able to do the survivor lap!  This is a big accomplishment since cardiologist told her in the beginning she could never run again. I am very proud of my friend Laurel. She has taught me to cherish what you have because you never know when it will be taken away, and to keep laughing because sometimes that is all you can do :).

Back to Ms. Audrey she is sitting now, attempting to crawl, working on talking (her mom does have the gift of gab) and she is a proficient clapper. She loves hanging with her mommy and daddy.  She can light up a room with that sweet smile and laugh.

Graham and Laurel are very blessed to have such an angel in their lives. I know they love that sweet little girl more than anything, so I was honored to take her pictures. Aud...can't wait for next time.

Here is a little video for Audrey:

Meghani Family

I got to meet the Meghani's a few weeks ago. Zehra, her brother Karim, her niece Duaa and sister-in-law Hena.

Zehra is a proud aunt who wanted some beautiful pictures of her sweet Duaa. Duaa is almost 2 years old and absolutely adorable. She had a good time exploring the park with us even with my camera.

Duaa is amazing as she has already mastered the iPhone at 20 months.

Duaa and her mommy Hena were so cute together, but is was also so sweet to see the relationship that Duaa has with her aunt Zehra and uncle Karim. They are truly a beautiful family.

Happy Birthday Zehra!!!!! Hope you had a great day today!

Blue Family - Fall 2010

I met the beautiful Blue Family a few days ago- John, Katie and Johnny. They are such a fun and happy family. John's work takes him away from his family more than he would like, so it was nice to be able to get the crew together for some fun shots.

Johnny is an energetic four year old who loves adventure. He is into everything, gymnastics, T-ball, karate and don't forget rock climbing. He informed me at the beginning he was shy, but I have a feeling that is a front. Near the end of our time together he was making jokes with me and telling me about his "cold hard cash"...the change in his pocket :).

Johnny loves his mommy and daddy. Since his dad was only home for a few days, I spent a little more time photographing them together. I know Johnny misses his daddy while he is away, so I wanted to give him a few special photographs to hold on to while he is missing his daddy.

John and Katie, I really enjoyed meeting you guys. I hope you enjoy the pictures.

Rhiannon and Henry

I met Rhiannon and Henry for the first time a few days ago. Rhiannon recently turned three and  little brother Henry just turned 6 months old. They are two peas in a pod.

Rhiannon told me all about her little bunny lovey named 'B', how much she loves her new preschool, and of course how awesome her little brother Henry is to be around..okay I may have embellished the last part.  Rhiannon was so cute during our session. We were across the street from her school, so she told me that she better get to her class because her friends were missing her.  Ha ha, I can see why her friends would miss her. She is has a big heart and is a lot of fun.

Henry was one cool little baby who does not look like a six month old for a number of reasons...he has a hairdo, he is wearing 12 month outfits, and the little booger is almost crawling- forget sitting up- you can tell he has been doing that for some time.  He was so relaxed and ready to jump in the fun with Rhiannon. I can tell by the way he looks at her that he adores his big sis.

Rhiannon and Henry are the best of buds...until Mr. Henry starts grabbing Rhiannon's toys. I am so happy that I got to meet these two awesome kids. They can really brighten up your day. I still have to smile when I look at their photos because I can hear Rhiannon's sweet little voice telling me her latest and cutest little thought.

Heather and Russ thank you for letting me photograph your babies. I really enjoyed hanging out with those two!

At a crossroads....

Audrey and Bennett's first date was water aerobics. Laurel (Audrey's mommy) and I were the only pregnant ladies in the class, so the other ladies were all very interested in our well being and of course our growing size. Of course every time one of us missed a class they thought we were having our baby. What bothers me is that I stopped taking that class when I was 7.5 months along :(.

Audrey on Bennett's piano

Bennett in Audrey's beach chair (yes it's pink and chocolate)

Audrey is a little over 6 months old and Bennett will be 9 months tomorrow and they will soon be two peas in a pod...they just don't know it yet. They are a lot alike, they both weighed 50lbs up until they were born (not sure how they dropped so much weight), they both caused their parents a lot of stress with crazy test that had to be performed on their mommies, they both thought drama was fun and so was bed rest, and in the end they were both induced (evicted) a few days early for being large and in charge.

Audrey came over for a visit and well sparks flew, but it was mainly from my Mr.Fussy and Laurel's Ms. Stubborn. Bennett was not a good host and Audrey wasn't a fan of sitting when there was other things to do. This combination made for some funny and yet not what we were looking for pictures. Sadly I didn't capture any pictures of the happy couple together, but they will have their time.

I am coming back for you Audrey!
