Happy 10 week Birthday!

Where has the time gone? It seems like just yesterday Bennett was a tiny baby and now he is already in 3-6 month clothes! He turned 10 weeks old today; my little baby is growing up too fast! Why can't they stay little but sleep through the night (we haven't conquered that yet)?

To celebrate Bennett's 10 week birthday he had a play date with his bud Grant. Grant and Bennett were both due 12/23 and were born early one day apart Grant (12/16) and Bennett (12/17). They were destined to be buddies. Bennett chose not to play host and slept most of the time of their visit, but it gave me a chance to take some really sweet shots of Grant.

Grant is such a sweet little baby. He has the cutest personality and has definitely acquired the gift of gab from his mommy. You should have heard him chatting away with me.

Ella Grace One Year Photos

Okay, so my awesome cousin Allison asked me to take pictures of her baby Ella Grace for her one year photos. I was so excited to do these pictures for her, but the photo shoot started out a little rocky...you see my 3 year old and 9 week old were home alone with me and she brought over Ella (1), her 3 year old and 6 year old to do the shoot. Thank the lord it was actually nice outside! Okay so not the ideal setting for a photo shoot, but luckily for me Baby Bennett liked the travel bouncy seat that I found in our attic!

Ella was awesome. She totally forgot that I was there and allowed me to capture some really great shots. I even love that there is a shot of my son's big noggin and Ella in the background.

I hope that I have captured what a beautiful child Ella Grace truly is and how much I love her.

Oh my gosh I have a blog

I recently decided to turn my hobby into something more, so I heard that I needed a blog. Sounded easy enough until I spent all night learning the controls for the blogging site, whew now that I have that out of the way on for my first blog posting...

I have always loved photography, so why not actually do something that you love to do? That was the question I asked myself, and with the support of my loving husband I have decided to take the plunge.

I have two adorable kids, Laney (3) and Bennett (9 weeks). They are the best models for me to sharpen my skills. They have both taught me patience with my photography and that a good photo doesn't always mean that the subject is smiling.

I consider photographs priceless memories that can not be recreated- maybe that is why I took 500 shots when my son was born? I love helping others capture these moments. I will work hard to create that special photograph for you and your family while keeping you comfortable. There will be no cheesy backgrounds or flashes to scare your little ones. I am really laid back, so if there are props you wish to incorporate or wardrobe changes that need to be made, no problem. I am an on location photographer, so I will come to you or to a designated site.
