Rhiannon and Henry

I met Rhiannon and Henry for the first time a few days ago. Rhiannon recently turned three and  little brother Henry just turned 6 months old. They are two peas in a pod.

Rhiannon told me all about her little bunny lovey named 'B', how much she loves her new preschool, and of course how awesome her little brother Henry is to be around..okay I may have embellished the last part.  Rhiannon was so cute during our session. We were across the street from her school, so she told me that she better get to her class because her friends were missing her.  Ha ha, I can see why her friends would miss her. She is has a big heart and is a lot of fun.

Henry was one cool little baby who does not look like a six month old for a number of reasons...he has a hairdo, he is wearing 12 month outfits, and the little booger is almost crawling- forget sitting up- you can tell he has been doing that for some time.  He was so relaxed and ready to jump in the fun with Rhiannon. I can tell by the way he looks at her that he adores his big sis.

Rhiannon and Henry are the best of buds...until Mr. Henry starts grabbing Rhiannon's toys. I am so happy that I got to meet these two awesome kids. They can really brighten up your day. I still have to smile when I look at their photos because I can hear Rhiannon's sweet little voice telling me her latest and cutest little thought.

Heather and Russ thank you for letting me photograph your babies. I really enjoyed hanging out with those two!

At a crossroads....

Audrey and Bennett's first date was water aerobics. Laurel (Audrey's mommy) and I were the only pregnant ladies in the class, so the other ladies were all very interested in our well being and of course our growing size. Of course every time one of us missed a class they thought we were having our baby. What bothers me is that I stopped taking that class when I was 7.5 months along :(.

Bennett in Audrey's beach chair (yes it's pink and chocolate)

Audrey is a little over 6 months old and Bennett will be 9 months tomorrow and they will soon be two peas in a pod...they just don't know it yet. They are a lot alike, they both weighed 50lbs up until they were born (not sure how they dropped so much weight), they both caused their parents a lot of stress with crazy test that had to be performed on their mommies, they both thought drama was fun and so was bed rest, and in the end they were both induced (evicted) a few days early for being large and in charge.

Audrey came over for a visit and well sparks flew, but it was mainly from my Mr.Fussy and Laurel's Ms. Stubborn. Bennett was not a good host and Audrey wasn't a fan of sitting when there was other things to do. This combination made for some funny and yet not what we were looking for pictures. Sadly I didn't capture any pictures of the happy couple together, but they will have their time.

I am coming back for you Audrey!

Orrick...Party of Three!!!!!!!!!!!

Cameron James Orrick was born August 17 2010...more like evicted. His mommy's blood pressure was too high, so Cameron entered the world a little earlier than planned but thankfully okay.

Cameron has had a rough few weeks, getting adjusted to this big world is hard...especially when he didn't leave on his terms. I think he has let his parents know his feelings lately with a little crying...well a lot of crying.

Cameron is a sweet little boy with a lot of spunk at barely 3 weeks old.  I know that once things settle down he will get into his groove and start cooing and smiling at his mommy and daddy in no time.

I know that the first few weeks are so hard, and you will wonder if you will survive. Every day will get slightly better and then one day you wake up and they are 3 months old. Then you will blink and they are walking, then they are starting school...you get my point. Time flies when you are raising babies, and you will wish for that time back once your sanity returns.

Here is a poem that one of our sorority sisters posted on her Facebook site that still makes me smile:
"Cooking and cleaning can wait til tomorrow
For babies grow up, I've learned to my sorrow
So, settle down cobwebs, dust go to sleep
I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep"

Congrats Ryan and Kristin!

Beach Getaway

My friend Kim and I planned separate vacations on the same weekend in the same city! What luck. We have been trying to get together for a family session, but we just couldn't get it worked out. Kim and her husband Steve were in town celebrating Kim's birthday with her boys. I was so excited to get the chance to take their pictures on the beach!

Kim and I used to work together way back when. I remember when we talked about getting pregnant with our first children...she told me to get pregnant in the winter so I wouldn't have to buy a maternity winter coat...now that is planning. I ended up needing a winter coat for both pregnancies, but amazingly my buddy Kim escaped the need to look like a boat at 9months pregnant in a giant pea coat.

Kim and Steve have 2 adorable little boys Miles (almost 4) and Dallas (just turned 2). The boys loved exploring the beach. They found starfish and watched some guys fishing on the shore. I hope someone bought Miles a fishing pole after that trip.

Kim and Steve I am so happy I got to celebrate with you guys. My family and I had so much fun. I hope to see you guys really soon. Love you guys!
